Short and Long Term Plans:

Now a day’s overall scenario of Indian agriculture is that after four decades of green revolution, the Indian agriculture has started showing the signs of fatigue and thus the colour of green revolution started browning.

Rapid industrialization and climate change are raising the scarcity value of land and water. Climate change is the biggest threat today therefore long term plans should be based on-

  • Develop such new high yielding varieties those are highly tolerance to pest and disease resistance, climate change resilience & bio- stress and abiostress resistance.
  • Biotechnology is one of the emerging fields in agricultural revolution. By biotechnological tools we can develop desirable characters varieties in all Because Indian agriculture have a very good experience of genetically modified crop i.e. Bt cotton. By considering the usefulness of biotechnology our organization seriously thinking on to start college of Agril. Biotechnology, tissue culture lab. Similarly, due to indiscriminate use of pesticides, fungicides and Weedicides there are number of loopholes in agriculture productivity, increase in pollution level of water, soil, air and most important development of resistance in major pests of various crops against pesticides. Therefore we already started work on biological control by establishing separate bio control lab. Initially we started   work on mass culturing of bio agents and bio pesticides. We will also start mass production of bio fertilizers and various types of botanical pesticides for proper balancing of ecosystem in sustainable manner.
  • Evaluation study of gene edited crops which will be evolved in future by I.C.A.R. Institutes under our agro climatic conditions because these gene edited crops created through new technique that snip & tweak DNA at precise location thus such crops now outside the current regulations of G.M. crops. So we can easily introduce such varieties those performed well in evaluation study developed by ICAR & it’s Institute in our Agro climatic zone for improvement of agriculture production & finally farmers live hood
